Zero Computing and Accseal join forces to optimize the verifiable computation supply chain.
Setting the Stage
Up to now, verifiable computation has relied on general-purpose tools unsuited for the complex computational tasks of zero-knowledge proofs leading to high costs and poor performance. On the software level, the majority of proof generation operates over general-purpose cloud infrastructure without any context for how those compute instances should be provisioned and managed. Similarly, on the hardware level, proof generation relies heavily on existing computing processors such as CPUs and GPUs, and the associated latent hardware available in the market that are not fine tuned for specific workloads.
To address this, Accseal and Zero Computing are excited to announce a strategic partnership to advance our shared vision - to standardize the technological landscape around a set of optimized tools for computing zero-knowledge proofs efficiently.
Strategic Partnership
Together, Zero Computing and Accseal aim to optimize zero-knowledge proving infrastructure by combining our expertise in unique segments of the computational supply chain. By integrating Accseal's industry-leading hardware acceleration solutions with Zero Computing's orchestration and virtualization software, everyone can benefit from significantly lower proving times and costs required for proof generation.
Accseal is the first to market with a comprehensive range of solutions specialized for zero-knowledge proofs, including highly dedicated programmable ASIC chips, mining machines, mining farm operation and maintenance services. Accseal’s 1st generation Leo ASIC chips are compatible with several top class zk-SNARK projects including Aleo, Scroll, Mina, zkSync, and Polygon. Currently, Accseal’s Leo MSM operation test performance is showing tremendous progress compared to existing solutions such as NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 (the acclaimed ZPrice 2023-winning solution).
Our collaboration will integrate Accseal’s accelerated hardware into proving tasks across Zero Computing’s current and future data centers, while also extending the reach of the first dedicated zero-knowledge mining servers throughout the entire ZK ecosystem. Zero Computing will facilitate this by virtualizing, scheduling, and managing proof workloads to ensure maximal utilization of Accseal’s hardware. A core component of this orchestration is the development of a global scheduler designed to forecast the resource consumption of proving tasks on Accseal’s specialized hardware. This scheduler can be thought of as a mapping function between proof requests and execution that becomes more accurate as more proofs are generated. This will lead to ever better performance of Accseal’s specialized products, yielding more efficient execution of individual proof requests and greater utilization of dedicated zero-knowledge computing resources.
Looking Ahead
These are the beginning days of converging around infrastructure optimized for zero-knowledge proofs. By combining efforts, we are realizing a more modular ecosystem with high cohesion, low coupling, and allowing the most competitive solutions in the ecosystem to win. Through this partnership, we will be able to bring highly performant proofs to Scroll, Polygon, Aleo, zkSync, to name a few. Zero Computing and Accseal will continue to collaborate on how their zero-knowledge specialized software and hardware solutions can work together to create a positive feedback loop fostering sustained innovation for our clients worldwide.
